Description

ASTM A792/A792M – 10(2015)

This is the American standard for cold rolled hot dip Galvalume steel materials.

JIS G 3321 :2010

This is the Japanese material standard associated with hot dipped Galvalume steel coils.

EN 10346:2015

This is the European material standard for continuously hot-dip coated steel flat products (Supersedes BS EN 10327:2004 & BS EN 10326:2004).

Advantages
  • Good corrosion resistance at high temperatures
  • Good abrasion resistance because of its surface hardness
  • Excellent thermal and light reflectivity.
CORROSION RESISTANCE

The improved corrosion resistance of 55% Al-Zn Alloy Coated Steel Coils are derived from the unique combination of the barrier protection of Aluminum and the sacrificial protection of Zinc. The formation of an insoluble Aluminum oxide layer provides the barrier protection while Zinc provides a sacrificial protection at cut edges, scratches and areas of coating damage.

HEAT RESISTANCE

Similar to the Aluminum Coated Steel Sheet that can resist high temperature oxidation, 55% Al-Zn Alloy-Coated Steel Sheet demonstrates better resistance to high temperature.

HEAT TRANSMISSION & REFLECTIVITY

55% Al-Zn Alloy-Coated Steel Coil has a high reflectivity value making it an effective barrier against heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q What international standards do your Galvalume steel coils comply with?

Our Galvalume steel materials conform to key international standards including ASTM A792/A792M (American standard), JIS G 3321 (Japanese standard), and EN 10346 (European standard for continuously hot-dip coated steel flat products).

Q What are the primary advantages of 55% Al-Zn alloy-coated steel?

It offers superior corrosion resistance at high temperatures, excellent abrasion resistance due to its surface hardness, and highly effective thermal and light reflectivity.

Q How does Aluzinc provide both barrier and sacrificial protection?

The coating combines Aluminum and Zinc. The Aluminum forms an insoluble oxide layer that acts as a physical barrier, while the Zinc provides sacrificial protection to safeguard cut edges, scratches, and damaged areas.

Q What is the typical thickness and width range for your Galvalume steel coils?

Our Galvalume steel coils are available in thicknesses ranging from 0.1mm to 1.5mm, and widths ranging from 600mm to 1500mm.

Q What industries and applications use Aluzinc Coated Steel Coils?

They are widely applied in building and construction, agricultural equipment, computer appliances, transportation, furniture, and electrical appliances.
