Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Coils from China Factory - Reliable Suppliers for Automotive, Construction & Appliance Industries
Description
Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Coil is produced by passing Cold Rolled Steel Coil through a Molten bath of Zinc at temperatures of around 460 degrees Celsius. The Zinc coating on the steel coil substrate acts as a barrier between the atmosphere and the surface of the metal. Further due to its lower chemical potential as compared to Iron (Fe), it is attacked and dissolved first, thereby offering superior corrosion resistance (cathodic protection).
ASTM A 653/A 653M is a standard specification for hot-dip galvanized steel coils. It sets the requirements for the composition and quality of the zinc coating to ensure consistent performance and durability.
The Zinc Coating Mass Range of SISCO steel is between 40 gsm – 360 gsm (grams per square meter of sheet metal). The Surface Finish & Visual Appearance of the Zinc coating of Gi Coils can be:
Regular Spangle
Minimized or Minimal Spangle
Zero Spangle (Extra Smooth)

Production Process
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the production process of Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Coil?
It is manufactured by passing Cold Rolled Steel Coil through a molten bath of zinc at temperatures of approximately 460 degrees Celsius. This creates a protective zinc coating layer on the steel surface.
What standards do your Galvanized Steel Coils comply with?
Our products meet major international standards including the American ASTM A653/A653M, Japanese JIS G 3302, and European BS EN 10346:2009 standards.
What are the available options for surface finish?
We offer three visual appearance options for the zinc coating: Regular Spangle, Minimized or Minimal Spangle, and Zero Spangle (Extra Smooth).
What is the range of zinc coating weight and sizes available?
The zinc coating weight ranges from 40 gsm to 360 gsm. We offer thicknesses from 0.1mm to 1.5mm and widths from 600mm to 1500mm.
What are the primary applications of these steel coils?
Galvanized steel coils are widely used for building roofing, windows, automobile manufacturing, and as the base sheet for color-coated steel.
