Prepainted Galvanized/Aluzinc Steel Coils (PPGI/PPGL) - China Factory & Suppliers of Quality Coated Steel Products
Color Coated Steel Coil/Sheet (PPGI/PPGL)
Primers
Epoxy – Polyester (Chrome – Chrome Free); for excellent corrosion and inter-coat adhesion. The Back Coat of the PPGI/PPAZ strip is Generally Polyurethane(PU)-Compatible Expoxy coated inorder to have adhesion in case the coils are used for insulated sandwich panel manufacturing.
Topcoats: R.M.P (Regular Modified Polyester)
Regular Modified Polyester is most widely-used coil coating with durable Polyester paint and heat dried. It is applied to interior/exterior materials with no heavy drawings. Thanks to its variable colours and glosses with an economic feasibility. RMP coated products are used for exterior panels and interior design purposes that do not require excessive processing. It generally displays superior workability, durability, and weather resistance and used for a variety of purposes; offered in a wide array of colours and degrees of polish. Matt and wrinkle effect can be added to the top finish.
End Usage:
Roofing & siding panels
Interior Partition
Building Interior/Exterior
Sandwich panels
Roof, Gutter
Steel furniture
Shutter, Door, Garage Door, Iron Frame, etc.
S.M.P (Silicon Modified Polyester)
Silicon Modified Polyester is a silicon resin modified Polyester paint coated and heat dried. Due to its higher durability than the Regular Polyester, generally applied for building construction. SMP assures economic benefits under circumstances of sea-side or industrial zones. 10-15 years limited warranty provided. SMP products are coated and baked with paint containing silicon resin. It is suitable for coastal area due to its excellent weather resistance.
End Usage:
Public Construction Material
Sandwich Panel
Corrugated Roof in Industrial Complexes
Airport, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between PPGI and PPGL?
PPGI refers to Pre-Painted Galvanized Steel, which has a pure zinc coating. PPGL refers to Pre-Painted Galvalume Steel, which features a coating of aluminum, zinc, and other trace elements for enhanced corrosion resistance.
Which coating is best for coastal or industrial areas?
SMP (Silicon Modified Polyester) and PVDF (Fluorocarbon) coatings are highly recommended for coastal or industrial zones due to their superior weather resistance and durability against salt spray.
Can I request a specific finish like matt or wrinkle?
Yes, matt and wrinkle effects can be added to the top finish of RMP (Regular Modified Polyester) and other coatings to meet specific aesthetic and functional requirements.
What is the typical service life of these color coated sheets?
Depending on the coating type and environment, the service life ranges from 10 years for standard Polyester (PE) to over 20 years for high-performance HDP Pro coatings.
Are these coils suitable for sandwich panel manufacturing?
Absolutely. Our coils use primers like Epoxy-Polyester and back coats compatible with Polyurethane (PU) to ensure excellent adhesion for insulated sandwich panel production.
What are the available size ranges for the steel coils?
We offer thicknesses ranging from 0.11mm to 1.5mm and widths from 600mm up to 1500mm, with standard internal diameters of 508mm or 610mm.
